An alternative is waiting

While the leading contenders for the Democratic party nomination for president chew away at each other, there is a viable alternative waiting in the wings ready to be called. I refer to Senator Joe Biden, a veteran of the Senate whose credentials should be considered. I believe that when the smoke clears party members will turn to Joe Biden as the best contender for the job as president. He was first elected to the Senate in 1972 and is currently serving his 6th term. Joe Biden has a plan to bring home most of the troops from Iraq in 2008, leaving a small force to help the Iraqi people establish a strong federal government, based on a fair distribution of oil revenues to all segments of the population.

He believes in providing help to our young people who seek higher eduction, possibly providing tax incentives up to $10,000 per year for the serious scholars. He wants to focus on domestic problems and lift our economy to viable levels. His many proposed solutions to our problems may be found on his web site and they deserve your consideration. (log on to Joe Biden on the internet....it may be worth your time).

For months I had a difficult time accepting Joe Biden because I thought he was conceited, but upon reflection, I believe he appears that way because he KNOWS what he is doing and is impatient with the wrangling among his fellow contenders. So I say, let's give Joe a chance and listen to what he has to say. It makes more sense than what I have heard from many of the front runners.

  1. there are two things about biden that for me are unforgivable: 1) his handling of the anita hill hearings and subsequent confirmation of clarence thomas to the supreme court; 2) he voted for the war. this means he played a big role in two of the biggest disasters for our country in my voting lifetime. he won't get my vote.
